While in the film, actors like Riteish Deshmukh with Ajay Devgn, Vani Kapoor along with actress Supriya Pathak, Saurabh Shukla, and Amit Sial are seen in important roles. Bollywood has been suffering from a string of flop films at the box office for some time now. Will ‘RED 2’ bring some relief in such a scenario? Let’s find out how ‘RED 2

The story of **”Red 2″** revolves around income tax officer **Ajay Devgn**. This time, his target is **Riteish Deshmukh**, a corrupt minister who rules his empire through feasts and has no shortage of black money.

Ajay Devgn tries to uncover this black money and launches a **raid (RED)**. The entire film revolves around this raid and the drama surrounding it. Overall, the story lacks freshness and feels like it’s stitched together on a predictable template.

There are very few moments in the film where it feels like we’re watching something new.

The director of *Raad* is Raj Kumar Gupta, who also directed *Raad*. However, right from the film’s set tone, there’s an attempt to play around with it.

The direction remains the same—same *Raad*, same angry people, same palace, and the same old things we’ve seen before. Essentially, he has just repackaged old goods in a new box.

Overall, Raj Kumar Gupta’s direction is just average.

In *Singham*, Ajay Devgn was portrayed entirely as a god-like figure, and in *RED 2*, even his fellow government officers are seen publicly touching his feet.

The kind of image being built around Ajay Devgn in cinema feels a bit odd.

Ajay Devgn has a distinct acting style, and that is visible in *RED 2* as well. His character is serious, and he has portrayed it effectively on screen.
As for Vani Kapoor’s role, any actress could have done it. The villain of the film, Riteish Deshmukh, fails to make an impression.
Saurabh Shukla has done a good job, but his character feels a bit forced.

If you enjoy watching Ajay Devgn on screen, then *Red 2* is just for you. If you’re a fan of *Red*, you can definitely watch *Red 2*. However, if you go into *Red 2* expecting something new, you might end up disappointed. The film follows the same old formula that Bollywood usually relies on.

From our side, we give this movie **2.5 stars**. Now, it remains to be seen how much of a storm Ajay Devgn can create at the box office.
