Ukraine supports America’s ceasefire proposal. According to the American proposal, Ukraine has agreed to a 30-day general ceasefire with Russia. In return, the United States has agreed to lift restrictions on military cooperation and intelligence sharing.

The joint statement issued after the peace talks in Saudi Arabia stated that both parties have agreed to reach an agreement on Ukrainian minerals as soon as possible.

The joint statement mentions, ‘Ukraine has expressed its willingness to accept the U.S. proposal for an immediate, temporary 30-day ceasefire, which could be extended based on mutual agreement between the parties, and this will depend on Russia’s approval.’

The statement also notes that the U.S. has conveyed a message to Russia, emphasizing that Russia’s cooperation is essential for establishing peace. The U.S. will immediately lift the sanctions imposed on intelligence sharing and will resume security assistance to Ukraine.

On February 28, a tense meeting took place in the Oval Office between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President volodymyr  zelenskyy  During this meeting, the two leaders discussed the ceasefire, after which President Trump halted the security assistance that had been provided to Ukraine.
