Tensions have once again flared between the United States and Iran over the nuclear deal.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has refused to engage in direct talks with the U.S.
regarding its nuclear program, responding to a letter from former U.S. President Donald Trump.

However, during a cabinet meeting, President Pezeshkian indicated that Tehran is open to
holding indirect negotiations with the United States.

US President Donald Trump recently sent a letter to Iran proposing a new nuclear deal, while also warning that military action would be taken if they did not agree to the terms of the agreement. Trump additionally mentioned imposing tariffs.

Iran has outright rejected the US proposal. During a Cabinet meeting, President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Tehran is only prepared for indirect talks with the United States, and there is no room for direct negotiations with Washington.
